Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in the food and beverage sector to design, optimize, and upgrade industrial equipment and production areas. The role focuses on mechanical solutions complying with hygiene, food safety, and efficiency standards, turning concepts into real production systems.

You will work on 3D modeling with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Inventor, review workshop outputs, and support project documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of 3D design experience in industrial projects.
• 5+ years in industrial project designs, piping and vessels.
• Knowledge of major engineering calculation and design tools is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design, edit and manage plant diagrams (Layouts) and P&IDs.
• Review workshop engineering, including tanks and pressure vessels.
• Create and verify construction diagrams with hygienic design standards.
• Develop 2D projects for Instrumentation, Controls, Processes, Electrical and Mechanical.
• Generate BOMs and trace pipeline routes using 3D software.
