INGEPSY seeks a detail-oriented Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and maintenance across the region. You will diagnose, repair, and service equipment at customer locations, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and equipment performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in hardware support and a customer-facing role, fluent in English, and hold a valid driver’s license. Travel within Colombia and Anton Paar trainings are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years in hardware support or repair.
• 1-3 years in customer-facing roles.
• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Respond to service calls and prioritize issues by severity.
• Document all service activities in the service management software.
• Provide clear technical explanations and recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with the national technical support team and other Field Service Engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and service completions.
• Travel within the assigned zone to meet appointments and commitments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Contribute feedback for equipment performance and customer needs.
• Take responsibility for personal warehouse/stock.
• Forward sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when replacements are needed.
• Attend Anton Paar trainings for relevant product lines.
• Substitute for other Field Service Engineers as needed.

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Field Service Engineer to join our team . In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional on-site technical support and maintenance services to our valued customers throughout the region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will combine technical expertise with strong customer service skills to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations


• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment operates at peak performance


• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests, prioritizing issues based on severity


• Document all service activities, repairs, and customer interactions in detail using service management software


• Provide clear technical explanations to customers and offer recommendations for equipment optimization


• Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues and collaborate with other Field Service Engineers within the country.


• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and submit timely reports on service completion


• Travel efficiently within the assigned zone to meet scheduled appointments and service commitments


• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures during all field service activities


• Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on equipment performance and customer needs


• Taking responsibility for personal warehouse/stock.


• Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced.


• Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.


• Substituting for other Field Service Engineers within the country.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering or equivalent.


• One to Three years’ experience in Hardware support or repair work.


• One to Three years in customer facing role.


• High technical and analytical problem-solving skills.


• Exceptional customer service skills.


• Fluency in English.


• Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license.
