Triol Corporation in Bogota seeks a Technical Support Engineer with a background in electrical equipment and power electronics to support commissioning, configure products, and ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.

You will engage with oil services, OEMs, EPCs, and dealers, performing on-site commissioning, diagnosing issues, and assisting with configuration while contributing to service quality and knowledge transfer.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with power electronics focus.
• Experience with industrial technical equipment and field service.
• Ability to read drawings and diagrams.
• Spanish at C2 and English at B2+.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support pilot tests and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites; assist service team during commissioning and operations.
• Collect information on technical problems to propose improvements for equipment performance.
• Perform on-site repairs and maintain spare parts records for timely service.
• Advise customers on service maintenance and operation of equipment.
• Contribute to corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment quality.

About the job

The Export Sales Department in Bogota is responsible for the sales of power electronics equipment for various oil & gas and industrial markets. Customers typically include oil service companies, OEMs, EPCs, and dealers in industrial sectors. The equipment we develop, manufacture, and service primarily includes low- and medium-voltage drives, downhole sensors, and linear ESP systems.

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with a technical background in electrical equipment or power electronics to become part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with customers, providing technical support during commissioning and system start-ups, assisting with product configuration, and ensuring that customer requirements are met efficiently and accurately

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Supporting pilot tests, perform commissioning new equipment at customer sites and providing support to the service team during commissioning and operations
• Collecting and identify information on technical problems of the customer, to formulate proposals to improve the performance of the equipment in operation, technical process of customers
• Perform out repairs of equipment. Maintain records and planning of spare parts for timely uninterrupted product service in the region
• Consult the Customer's representatives on service maintenance and operation of the equipment

• Participating in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions developed to improve the quality of equipment delivered to Customers

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics/ or two-year technical degree with additional 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with industrial technical equipment (commissioning, servicing, maintenance, or technical support at customer sites)
• Ability to analyze project documentation (drawings, diagrams)
• Proactive and solution-focused approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on understanding client needs and expectations
• Ability to prioritize the work in a multi-tasking environment
• Spanish-C2, English- B2+

Nice to have:

• Possession of complex measuring instruments (oscilloscope, megohmmeter, network analyzer, etc.)
• Experience with artificial lift system
• Experience with programing logical controllers
• Electrical safety certificate above 1000 V, certificate permitting work on offshore platforms
• B-category driver's license
