Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a results-driven Operations Lead to manage domestic truckload drayage and customer-facing logistics in Medellín. You will oversee scheduling, documentation, and team guidance, applying brokerage knowledge to optimize processes and service levels.

You will build and refine procedures, mentor team members, and collaborate with carriers and customers to resolve issues, improve efficiency, and scale the growing operations function in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in drayage, logistics, brokerage, or related field.
• Experience with drayage and customer-facing operations.
• Leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of brokerage operations and domestic truckload processes.
• Experience with TMS platforms and order management.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing operations for domestic truckload shipments, ensuring consistent service and execution.
• Build and maintain orders manually within the TMS, ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery scheduling and ensure requirements are met.
• Manage drayage-related operations and terminal processes, containers, and chassis knowledge.
• Serve as a primary contact for customers, providing timely communication and issue resolution.
• Monitor shipment activity, address exceptions, and coordinate resolutions with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ensure load information, documentation, and updates are communicated to stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
• Help establish and maintain SOPs, workflows, and performance expectations.

Key Position Responsibilities

• -Lead customer-facing operations for domestic truckload shipments, ensuring consistent service and operational execution.


• -Build and maintain orders manually within the TMS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.


• -Coordinate and oversee pickup and delivery scheduling and ensure operational requirements are met.


• -Manage drayage-related operations and apply knowledge of terminal processes, containers, chassis, and transportation requirements.


• -Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing timely communication and resolving operational issues.


• -Monitor shipment activity, identify exceptions, and coordinate appropriate resolutions with customers, carriers, and internal teams.


• -Ensure load information, documentation, and operational updates are accurate and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.


• -Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to team members.


• -Help establish and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and performance expectations for the team.


• -Support the development and growth of the operations team as the organization builds out this function.


• -Leverage experience in brokerage and customer-facing transportation operations to help establish effective processes and best practices.


• -Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve service quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in drayage transportation (must have), logistics, brokerage, customer operations, or a related field.


• Previous experience with drayage and customer-facing operations.


• Experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team-lead capacity preferred.


• Strong understanding of brokerage operations and domestic truckload processes.


• Experience with TMS platforms and order management.


• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Ability to help build and develop a new or growing operations team.
