EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an Application Support Engineer to keep critical applications stable, observable, and reliable. You will troubleshoot incidents, analyze logs and databases, and collaborate on improvements across the support lifecycle.

You will resolve production incidents, execute SQL queries, and troubleshoot Java core applications while aligning with ITIL processes. Expect on-call rotations and collaboration with global teams to enhance reliability and operational readiness.

Formación

• 2+ years of application support experience in medium to large ecosystems.
• Strong Java core troubleshooting experience for application errors and monitoring.
• SQL experience with strong query skills.
• ITIL foundation knowledge covering incident, problem, and change management.
• Strong understanding of web app architecture (web/app/DB servers, DNS, firewalls, SSL).

Responsabilidades

• Resolve production incidents by troubleshooting application, database, and connectivity issues.
• Analyze logs and monitoring signals to identify root cause and propose corrective actions.
• Execute SQL queries to validate data and support investigations.
• Troubleshoot Java core applications by interpreting errors and recommending fixes.
• Support ITIL-aligned processes by handling incidents and coordinating changes.
• Operate and monitor pre-built Jenkins pipelines to support releases.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve reliability and observability.
• Document investigations, runbooks, and knowledge articles in Jira/Confluence.
• Coordinate escalations and communicate status and impact clearly.
• Perform network/web troubleshooting including DNS checks and SSL validation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and shift coverage to maintain service continuity.
