The role requires English fluency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Excel is highly valued.

Formación

• Requires fluency in English (read, write, speak).
• Associate degree or higher in accounting or related field.
• Two+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably AP/AR.
• Advanced Excel skills are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the AP department in setting up new vendors in the system.
• Reconcile sub-system integrations periodically to ensure error-free transactions.
• Prepare daily ACHs, wires and check runs.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and take ownership of assigned activities.
• Assist the team with weekly and monthly reporting.

Position Summary:

AJC is looking for a highly motivated, professional individualto join our team in the Medellin office as an Accounting Assistant. This individual will process daily accounting functions with accuracy and dedication. Processes and resolves problems with daily system integrations and payment processing. Supports the accounting organization with repetitive but highly important tasks such as setting up new vendors, changing payment types, running reports, preparing daily and weekly payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the AP department in setting up new vendors in the system
• Reconcile sub-system integrations periodically, ensuring all the transactions have been integrated with no errors.
• Prepare daily ACHs, wires and check runs
• Reconcile some balance sheet accounts, understand all activity and take ownership of the accounts assigned.
• Assist the team with some weekly/monthly reporting

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or higher.
• Two (2) years or more of proven accounting experience, preferably in Accounts receivable or Account payable.

• Advanced skills in Excel are a plus.
