Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Bogotá to support key accounting functions, including month-end close, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, and CapEx tracking.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports audits and FP&A activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
• Review and process capital expenditure (CapEx) additions per company policies and accounting requirements.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset and balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Track and analyze CapEx budgets versus actual spending and provide variance analysis.
• Analyze financial statements and investigate fluctuations or variances.
• Support internal and external audit requests and assist with documentation during audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve accounting issues.
• Support FP&A activities related to budgeting, forecasting, and actual spend analysis.

• Perform other accounting-related tasks and assignments as required.

Requirements
