Core Logistics is seeking an Account Manager to coordinate internal operations with external customers and oversee shipment performance. You will ensure on-time pickups, manage margins, and uphold service levels while maintaining strong communication with all parties involved.
This role emphasizes proactive problem solving, escalation handling, and ownership of the shipment lifecycle, from tendering to billing, in a fast-paced logistics environment.

As an Account Manager, you will coordinate internal operations teams and external customers to facilitate the movement and completion of individual shipments. You are accountable for the performance of all assigned shipments and managing communication between operations, shippers, consignees, and customers. This role combines focused operational oversight and outstanding communication to deliver excellent customer service.

Manage individual loads to meet customer account plan metrics, including margin management, on-time pickup/delivery, and service level agreements.
Initiate all necessary customer, shipper, and consignee conversations to deliver superior customer service and conduct strategic arbitrage on every load.
Act as the first point of escalation for issues and use strong problem-solving skills to resolve client concerns.
Ownership of shipments through the life cycle of the load.
Accept tenders, build, and post loads.
Set max buy rates and approve carrier sales offers.
Ensure customers have TMS tracking links, proactive updates, and all paperwork on every shipment.
Properly hand off shipments that are ready for billing to the accounting team.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.
Minimum 3 years of logistics operations experience in a freight brokerage. Experience with open deck and specialized full truckload operations preferred.
Self-motivated professional with outstanding organization, communication & relationship building skills.

Work schedule: Monday through Friday. Flexibility and availability based on business needs are required.
