GoodWe is seeking a Service Technician to provide remote After-Sales support for South American countries (except Brazil) while based in Chile. You will train partners, handle inquiries, and perform on-site service when needed. Travel across South America may be required, and you will liaise with HQ for technical updates.

The role requires a technical degree in PV/renewables, hands-on PV inverter experience, and good English. Portuguese is a plus.

Formación

• Technical degree in electricity, photovoltaics, Renewable Energy or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with PV inverters.
• Knowledge of South American PV regulations.
• Experience with Distributed Generation (DG).
• Proficiency in Excel/Office tools and basic circuit sizing.

Responsabilidades

• Handle general inquiries for technical support and after-sales activities.
• Train partners to provide daily technical support via phone, email, or in person.
• Resolve technical escalations from customers.
• Provide technical advice to local distributors, installers and end users.
• Perform on-site inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting with prior appointments.
• Maintain records of replacements and hardware movements.
• Upgrade firmware and perform minor hardware reworks locally when needed.
• Coordinate with Brazil HQ and South America team for updates.
• Communicate with Level 2 engineers based in HQ.
• Represent the company at exhibitions and events; promote solutions.
• Submit weekly reports and documents to supervisor.

The Service Technician should be responsible to provide After-Sales support for South American countries, except Brazil, working from home. This position is for a candidate living in Chile.

He/she is responsible for providing remote support, technical training for partners and on-site service when necessary. The person should be available for business trips and understand the electric and photovoltaic standards and requirements from the related countries.

Responsibilities

• Handle general inquires for technical support and after sales related activities;
• Training partners to provide daily technical support to customers over phone line, email, or face to face;
• Solve / handle technical escalations from the customers;
• Provide technical advice for local distributors, installers and end users;
• Provide minor on-site inspection, commissioning, troubleshooting and replacement of defectives products, with appointments of customers in advance;
• Keep track of in-out of replacements units;
• Perform firmware upgrading and minor reworks in hardware locally when necessary;
• Maintain frequent communication with management staff in Brazil and other team members across South America;
• Maintain a good communication with Level 2 engineers based in HQ office;
• Attend exhibitions and marketing events and introduce products and solutions;
• Submit the related reports and documents to supervisor every week.

Required Skills

• Intermediate English for speaking and writing;
• Technical degree in electricity, Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy or other comparable course;
• Advanced knowledge of PV Inverters (on-grid and storage);
• At least 1 year of experience with PV inverters;
• Experience with DG (Distributed Generation);
• Basic knowledge in sizing electrical circuits, PV arrangement, protection circuits, and interpretation of electrical diagrams;
• Knowledge about South America countries regulation on PV;
• MS Office.

• Portuguese speaking;
• Experience with PV Large Utility-Scale;
• Experience with lead-acid and lithium batteries for PV storage systems;
• NeoCRM experience.
