Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Mine Closure Project Manager in Santiago de Chile to lead mine closure and remediation projects. You will collaborate with LATAM teams to develop plans, oversee technical work, and mentor staff, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in mine closure/remediation, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with Primavera P6; advanced degrees and 15+ years are preferred. Hybrid work model and global resources support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 8+ years of related experience in mine closure, remediation, or reclamation.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Preferred qualifications include Master’s Degree, 15+ years of experience, and scheduling tools like Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mine closure plans and remedial solutions meeting regulatory requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers and scientists to deliver closure projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules and quality, with client and regulatory communications.
• Mentor staff and stay updated on regulatory frameworks.
