Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Chile is seeking a senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design, specifications, and field coordination for plant control systems and instrumentation. You will mentor junior engineers, guide PLC integration, and drive quality through FAT/CAT tests.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive experience in mining and metals control environments, with strong OT networks and cybersecurity considerations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years total experience.
Experience in Control Systems architecture for Mining & Metals industries.
Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead design of control system aspects and prepare system specifications.
Coordinate control systems efforts with client, vendors, and other disciplines.
Provide guidance to junior engineers and review discipline work.
Assist project management in ensuring control system requirements compliance.
Review I/O lists, remote I/O design, and PLC integration to PCS.
Lead FAT/CAT/interoperability tests for control systems.
