Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance a next‑generation payments platform. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from architecture and system design to production deployment and operational support.

The role involves collaboration with product, compliance, operations, and engineering leaders to deliver scalable backend services for payment processing, settlement, onboarding, and financial transactions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting financial transactions and payment platform functionality.
• Build and enhance systems related to onboarding, payments, settlement, foreign exchange, and business‑critical financial operations.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operational teams to deliver new capabilities from concept through deployment.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external partners and third‑party platforms.
• Drive service reliability, monitoring, observability, incident response, and production readiness within assigned domains.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and design reviews.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to mid‑level engineers.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives involving cloud infrastructure, service‑oriented architecture, and platform transformation efforts.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve productivity and code quality.
