Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance the next generation of its payments platform. Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET or Java/Go in a production environment.
• Experience building production-scale backend systems in cloud environments.
• Payments/fintech or financial transaction experience is a plus.
• Microservices, event-driven architecture, and system design experience.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for financial transactions.
• Build and enhance onboarding, payments, settlement, FX, and critical ops functionalities.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations for end-to-end delivery.
• Develop integrations with external partners and third-party platforms.
• Improve service reliability, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Engage in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to modernization efforts.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure and platform transformations.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
