Insight Global's client, a leading global financial technology organization, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance its payments platform. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture through production deployment, collaborating with product, compliance, and engineering leaders.

The role focuses on scalable backend services for payments, onboarding, settlement, FX, and high‑volume transactions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET or another OOP language and willingness to work in a .NET environment.
• Experience building and supporting production-scale backend systems.
• Payments, fintech, FX, or money movement experience is preferred.
• Cloud experience with AWS and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting financial transactions and payment platform functionality.
• Build and enhance systems related to onboarding, payments, settlement, foreign exchange, and business operations.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operational teams to deploy new capabilities from concept to production.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external partners and third-party platforms.
• Drive service reliability, monitoring, observability, and production readiness within assigned domains.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and participate in architectural discussions and design reviews.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives involving cloud infrastructure and service-oriented architecture.
