Job summary

Insight Global is partnering with a leading global financial technology organization to design, build, and scale backend services for cross-border payments and currency exchange. The Senior Backend Software Engineer will shape architecture, own critical components, and collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to deliver new capabilities from concept to production.

Qualifications

6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Experience with C#/.NET or other OOP languages and working in a .NET environment.
Experience building production-scale backend systems.
Payments/fintech experience is a plus.
Cloud experience with AWS and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for financial transactions.
Build and enhance onboarding, payments, settlement, FX, and core financial operations.
Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams through deployment cycles.
Develop and maintain integrations with external partners and platforms.
Drive reliability, monitoring, and production readiness across services.
Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to architecture discussions.
Participate in modernization efforts involving cloud infrastructure and SOA.
