Job summary

Deel is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Production Sandbox Reliability team. You will help keep enterprise sandbox environments stable, up-to-date, and well‑monitored in a globally distributed setting.

You will monitor health, roll out updates to microservices, triage incidents, and improve observability with Datadog and Grafana. Strong SRE/DevOps background and cross‑timezone collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Experience with Node.js or Go.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (EKS, S3, RDS).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including Helm and ArgoCD.
• Experience with observability stacks: Datadog, Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Zabbix.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter mindset with an eye for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability: Monitor health of sandbox environments and ensure high availability across services.
• Roll out updates to microservices inside each sandbox to stay current with latest versions.
• Triage alerts, investigate and escalate incidents with clear context to engineering teams.
• Improve observability: enhance metrics, logs and tracing coverage with Datadog and Grafana stack.
• Support incident workflows: participate in post-incident reviews and follow-up actions.
• Communicate proactively: bridge internal teams and customer-facing teams during incidents and upgrades.
• Participate in on-call rotation across APAC, EMEA and LATAM time zones.
