Job summary

SoftServe is looking for a senior Cloud Networking and Site Reliability engineer to own the reliability, evolution, and automation of cloud networking foundations supporting internal services and engineering productivity for a fast-growing US-based cloud data platform company.

You will define standards across GCP and AWS, drive cross-team technical decisions, and build observable, secure connectivity with SLOs and runbooks across time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating production cloud networks on AWS and GCP.
• Strong SRE practices with SLOs and incident response.
• Experience with IaC and automation using Terraform/OpenTofu and Terragrunt.
• Kubernetes networking experience in platform infrastructure.
• Knowledge of cloud identity (OIDC/SAML/SCIM) and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud networking standards across cloud providers including routing, DNS, and private connectivity.
• Own VPN and private-access connectivity for reliability and operability.
• Collaborate on connectivity architecture with multiple teams for decisions.
• Establish SLOs and implement monitoring using Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Pingdom, PagerDuty.
• Lead diagnosis and remediation of connectivity incidents and maintain runbooks.
• Develop infrastructure automation with Terraform/OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Python, and Go.
• Guide patterns for VPN, DNS, IPAM, and data-center connectivity with Tailscale/Headscale/NetBox.
• Mentor engineers and share operational knowledge across time zones.
