Bluelight Consulting seeks a seasoned DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps engineer to join a fast-paced, globally distributed team. You will design and operate robust AWS-backed infrastructure, implement IaC, automate CI/CD, and ensure security, observability, and resilience across large systems.
You will collaborate with diverse clients, overlap US business hours, and contribute to challenging projects that drive performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
- Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and ECS/Fargate.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with deployment automation and tested rollback paths, including rollback drills.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar).
- Experience with load testing (k6 or similar) and operating services against latency SLOs and error budgets.
- Security-first mindset: experience with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance/hardening practices.
- Experience supporting SOC 2 (or similar) audit evidence and client security reviews.
- Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
- Substantial background working with large, complex systems.
- Ability to overlap US business hours.
- Bachelor's degree required.
