Job summary

HoopStars, a Toronto-based youth basketball business, seeks a hands-on General Manager to own marketing, ecommerce and profitable growth across brands. You will divide time between running HoopStars and building the parent company's marketing team, with a focus on LATAM remote operations and Toronto-hours collaboration.

Ideal candidates have a track record in paid acquisition, conversion, and retention, with experience leading marketers and managing agencies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated results in paid acquisition, conversion and retention.
• Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget: pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts or profitability.
• Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or other specialists.
• Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service business with real delivery capacity.

Responsibilities

• Own HoopStars business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts.
• Lead sales and operations, ensuring programmes and services meet demand.
• Improve paid search, social, landing pages and enrollment funnels.
• Define marketing team structure, hiring and agency management.
• Allocate marketing investment with reliable reporting and testing.
