Checkr, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable services powering Checkr's platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and best practices, contributing to DevX or core backend services depending on team placement. You will participate in architectural discussions, mentor engineers, and drive reliability and performance improvements while operating in a hybrid, international environment with a US-based

Formación

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Advanced English skills due to reporting to a US-based manager.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Ruby, or a similar OO language, with experience building microservices.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
• Strong sense of ownership and proactive attitude.
• You thrive in environments where sharing knowledge is a core value and are motivated by helping your team and close collaborators align around a shared approach.
• You excel in collaboration, mentorship, and innovative problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable software services powering Checkr's platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and drive engineering best practices.
• Contribute to developer-experience work spanning DevX, CI/CD, and other tooling or to core backend services for the screening platform.
• Participate in architectural discussions — ADRs/RFCs — to align your team on system design decisions.
• Provide feedback and consultation on system design and workflows to improve reliability and performance.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to team and stakeholders.
• Lead projects typically scoped to less than a quarter and mentor engineers to execute cross-functional work.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture.
