Checkr is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Engineering group in Santiago. You will design, build, and maintain scalable services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and best practices.

Depending on your team, you will contribute to DevX or core backend services, participate in ADRs/RFCs, and mentor junior engineers. You will report to a US-based manager, work with Go/Python/Ruby microservices, and help deliver reliable software across

Formación

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Advanced English; reports to US-based manager.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain software services with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to DevX work or core backend services depending on team placement.
• Participate in architectural discussions and ADRs/RFCs to align on system design decisions.
• Provide feedback to improve reliability and performance and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Lead projects with limited direction and mentor less experienced engineers.
