Checkr is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Data Acquisition team in Santiago. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines powering background check platforms, collaborating with engineers in Chile and the US to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

This role emphasizes Python development, distributed systems, APIs, and observability using Datadog and OpenTelemetry. Hybrid work in Santiago (3x2) and ownership of services are expected, with a focus on engineering quality and impact.

Formación

• Backend engineering focused on building data pipelines and APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable backend services.
• Proficiency with containerized deployments (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS).

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement data platform features from design to production.
• Build data acquisition platforms in Python with reliability and observability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and design docs for the data platforms.
• Improve platform visibility with logging, metrics, and alerting using Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with Chilean and US engineers on architecture and delivery.
