Checkr in Santiago, Chile is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to own the centralized data platform that powers Checkr's Workforce, Mortgage, Tenant, and other identity products. You will build scalable pipelines, shape architecture, and drive data-driven features with strong ownership.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, design, and customers to ship reliable data capabilities, ensure data privacy, and maintain production quality in a fast-moving, hybrid environment.

Formación

• 10+ years designing and delivering scalable data platforms.
• Expert-level PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with big data tech: Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, AWS stack.
• Knowledge of data modeling, relational and NoSQL stores.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, design, lead, and build an end-to-end data platform.
• Work as an independent contributor with strong ownership.
• Mentor junior engineers on next-generation features.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to ship data-driven features.
• Monitor, triage, and resolve production issues for services.
