Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Iquique, Chile, seeks a Construction Management professional to supervise on-site construction activities for the Ujina Growth Project. You will coordinate with the Client CM team, review schedules, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

The role emphasizes monitoring methods, risk management, and effective leadership on the ground, supporting the delivery of critical packages with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Higher level technician or Civil or Execution Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical specialty, or international equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in large-scale industrial projects, or 12 to 14 years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Advise on review and monitoring of contractors' construction schedules and resources.
• Advise on revision of construction methods proposed by contractors.
• Support monitoring of work methods to ensure safety and design compliance.
• Assist CM in correct execution of works and installation verification.
• Support risk management through permits, controls, and preventive measures.
• Contribute to zero-accident philosophy and on-site safety leadership.
• Identify safety or quality deviations and oversee corrective actions closure.
• Assist in interpretation of engineering and supplier documents for field use.
• Coordinate engineering solutions with CM and contractors.
