Wabtec is seeking a field-oriented engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on support for OHV Drive Systems across Chile and nearby regions. You will oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty activities, collaborating with OEMs, distributors, and internal teams to ensure reliability and performance in demanding mining environments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent with 3+ years supporting mining truck drive systems; or
• Technical degree/diploma in relevant disciplines with 5+ years of field service or engineering experience in mining truck drive systems.
• Experience with design, validation, testing, commissioning, and field support of mining truck drive systems.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills with engineering software, diagnostic tools, and business systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
• Experience in active mining environments, including high-altitude operations.
• English proficiency preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform commissioning and startup activities for OHV Drive Systems following VTIs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues via onsite inspections, remote support, and data analysis.
• Monitor fleet performance and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and product teams.
• Submit field and commissioning reports and findings through Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other systems.
• Review warranty claims and support failure investigations and teardown activities.
• Coordinate return shipments of RMAs for factory analysis.
• Participate in NPI programs and provide field support for new products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
• Attend customer meetings, fleet reviews, OEM meetings, ASM updates, and other reviews.
• Promote safety, regulatory compliance, and One Wabtec culture across the territory.
