Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Protection, Control, & Solutions Group is seeking a LATAM R&D Manager. The role leads regional R&D, manufacturing engineering and localization across LATAM, including Mexico, CAC, Chile and Brazil, reporting to the LATAM Operations Director.

The position requires 7+ years in engineering/R&D with 5+ years of leadership, plus fluency in English and Spanish. Location is flexible within main LATAM electrical locations with significant travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience in product/manufacturing engineering, R&D, localization and Capex management.
• Minimum 7 years in engineering/R&D with 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional R&D, cost reduction and localization initiatives to grow LATAM manufacturing capabilities.
• Direct Manufacturing Engineering teams across Mexico, CAC, Chile and Brazil.
• Drive process standardization across all plants.
• Lead productivity improvement programs and Capex projects from justification through implementation.
• Standardize items and product families across the region.
• Support localization strategy to grow manufacturing capacity in all plants.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality/OpEx and Plant Managers on DFx and new product introductions.
• Ensure engineering compliance with Eaton standards and local regulations.
• Develop coaching and leadership capabilities within the region.
