Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Tendering Engineer to create preliminary design cost estimates for dry type transformers plus inductors according to customer specifications. You will also support sales with technical input and act as a link between sales and engineering, with occasional travel up to 10%.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience in a similar position, and proficiency with CAD and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with CAD and Microsoft 365 tools is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications to define tender requirements.
• Develop deviation sheets and propose technical solutions.
• Create accurate cost estimates and define material requirements in ERP.
• Obtain pricing information by collaborating with suppliers & vendors.
• Ensure on-time cost estimate submittal to bid and proposal team.
• Maintain technical and costing product information throughout deal lifecycle.
• Provide tender support during bid revisions or negotiations.
• Communicate clearly with all tender stakeholders.
