Zusammenfassung

Hitachi Energy seeks a Design Engineer for the Global Product Care team to design and optimize insulation and components for transformers. You will build simulations, verify against IEC/IEEE standards, and support R&D, testing, and production across worldwide factories.

You will develop tools for evaluations, ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency, and lead or participate in projects while mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years in R&D or engineering, preferably in high voltage equipment or components.
• Solid mechanical knowledge, ideally in electrical insulators or HV components.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE/ISO/ASTM standards.
• Experience in finite element analysis and ANSYS software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with global technical teams.

Aufgaben

• Establish mechanical simulation models for transformer components (bushings, tap-changers, measurement devices).
• Conduct static/dynamic mechanics, seismic, short-circuit, thermal-structure coupling analyses.
• Provide technical support for product R&D, type tests, and mass production.
• Develop internal tools for mechanical evaluations and support factories.
• Ensure compliance with external/internal regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with supply chain to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead project reviews, mentor junior colleagues, and share knowledge.
