Job summary

Roche Diagnostics seeks a Technical Product Lead to own a portfolio of externally manufactured consumables, guiding products through their lifecycle with emphasis on quality, supply reliability, compliance, risk management, and cost efficiency.

You will lead cross-functional decision-making, shape manufacturing strategies, and collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted supply for patients and healthcare professionals worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline.
• Proven experience in Product Lifecycle Management, ideally covering quality, compliance, supply, and cost ownership.
• Professional experience working with external manufacturing partners and supplier management.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as IVD, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or Pharma.
• Initial leadership experience in matrix organizations, product teams, or cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Business-fluent English and German.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned consumable products across the entire lifecycle.
• Ensure sustainable product performance covering quality, supply continuity, compliance, documentation, and cost objectives.
• Drive product-related changes, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional product teams and facilitate alignment across global stakeholders.
• Develop and execute production and capacity strategies to support future business needs.
• Evaluate manufacturing risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage operational and investment budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) and contribute to business case development.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, procurement, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and development organizations.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous operational excellence throughout the external manufacturing network.
• Support system development and innovation projects as manufacturing representative.
• Prepare and present product performance updates and strategic recommendations to leadership teams.
• Foster a collaborative, accountability-driven culture built on Roche's OneRoche mindset.
