Job summary

Flexsis, on behalf of Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, seeks a reliable engineer to serve as the technical expert and primary contact for internal customers. You will install Roche Diagnostics systems across development stages and maintain documentation in the RDK knowledge base.

Role requires an engineering or life sciences degree or equivalent practical experience, willingness to work in regulated labs (S1/S2), and hands-on technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or life sciences, or completed technical vocational training with relevant practical experience.
• Willingness to work in a highly regulated environment and in biosafety labs (S1/S2).
• Hands-on experience in a technical or mechanical role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert and primary contact for internal customers on service aspects.
• Install Roche Diagnostics systems (hardware/software) across development phases and per installation manuals in the RDK database.
• Perform IQ/OQ, preventive maintenance, and autonomous troubleshooting/repair of hardware and software.

For our client Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a reliable and motivated (m/f/d)

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical expert and primary point of contact for internal customers regarding all service aspects
• Install Roche Diagnostics systems (hardware and software) across all development phases—including early prototypes—as well as according to installation manuals in the Roche Diagnostics Knowledge (RDK) database
• Perform system qualifications (IQ/OQ), execute preventive maintenance, and conduct autonomous troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues
• Manage the deployment and servicing of various systems and their specific configurations
• Ensure comprehensive documentation in accordance with established quality standards
• Provide technical support for global development trials

Must Haves:

• HF or university degree in an engineering or life sciences discipline (e.g., Medical Devices, Electronics/Automation, Mechatronics) or completed technical vocational training with relevant practical experience
• Initial experience in, or clear willingness to work in, a highly regulated industry and in laboratories with biosafety levels S1 and S2
• First hands-on experience in a technical or mechanical occupation
• Customer- and service-oriented team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, featuring an autonomous and proactive work style
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential; German is a plus for the Rotkreuz site

Nice to Haves:

• Basic knowledge of network administration and IT troubleshooting
• Prior experience servicing diagnostic instruments or involvement in equipment management
• Practical experience resolving technical issues across interdisciplinary setups (hardware, software, and laboratory workflows)
• Previous experience working in a GMP or ISO-regulated environment
