Zusammenfassung

Lonza Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a supply planning professional for our Microbial manufacturing network. Based on site, you will own and execute the monthly Supply Planning cycle, ensure alignment with S&OP and budget processes, and drive a reliable, compliant supply plan including the Master Production Schedule.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Finance to mitigate risks, improve plan accuracy, define inventory targets, and ensure SAP IBP and SAP ECC are

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience in supply/production planning in pharma or biotech.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, MPS, MRP and inventory management.
• Hands-on SAP IBP and SAP ECC experience.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Own and execute the monthly Supply Planning cycle for Microbial operations, ensuring alignment with integrated planning, S&OP, and budget processes.
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve the Supply Plan, including the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and medium-term capacity outlooks.
• Anticipate supply risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Finance.
• Lead supply plan accuracy improvements through KPI definition, tracking, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Inventory Management to define and maintain inventory targets, manage new and phase-out materials, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
• Ensure supply plans are used in SAP IBP and SAP ECC, driving material, labor, and asset capacity plans.
• Provide functional leadership and oversight of MRP and Scheduling activities, ensuring robust planning parameters and master data governance.

Based in Basel, this role sits at the heart of Lonza’s Microbial manufacturing network, driving end‑to‑end supply planning to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant delivery of products that support life‑changing medicines.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Lead supply plan accuracy improvements through KPI definition, tracking, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Partner with Inventory Management to define and maintain inventory targets , manage new and phase‑out materials, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory
• Ensure supply plans are consistently maintained and utilized in SAP IBP and SAP ECC , driving material, labor, and asset capacity plans
• Provide functional leadership and oversight of MRP and Scheduling activities , ensuring robust planning parameters and master data governance

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in Supply Planning / Production Planning , preferably in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or complex manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of S&OP, MPS, MRP, inventory management , and capacity planning concepts
• Hands‑on experience with SAP IBP and SAP ECC (or comparable advanced planning systems)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear decisions and actionable plans
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus across global and cross‑functional teams
• Experience leading planning processes or guiding planners/schedulers, with a continuous‑improvement mindset
• Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (transferable skills and equivalent experience are welcome)
