Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Visp (Valais) seeks an experienced Project Planner to own master schedules across global capital projects, ensuring technical precision, critical path execution, and smooth start-up operations at the site. This fully site‑based role supports close real-time collaboration to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of project scheduling experience on large-scale capital projects (>20M CHF) in pharma/ biotech / process industries.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and core MS Office tools.
  • Experience in an EPCm environment; client-side owner representation is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain integrated master project plans and schedules for all project stages.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and detailed schedule-basis documentation for formal approval.
  • Perform critical path analyses and evaluate variances for proactive risk mitigation.
  • Deliver progress reports, trend analyses, and schedule updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain records of scope changes, schedule trends, and variances to protect timeline integrity.
  • Facilitate planning sessions (IAPS) and scheduling alignment with internal teams and EPCm partners.
  • Support resource loading, workload balancing, and long-term timeline integration from design through start-up.

As a Project Planner in Visp, you will take full ownership of master schedules across global capital projects, ensuring technical precision, critical path execution, and seamless start‑up operations at our state‑of‑the‑art site.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain integrated master project plans and schedules to drive efficient project execution across all project stages.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and detailed schedule‑basis documentation for formal project team approval.
  • Perform critical path analyses and evaluate near‑critical activity variances to provide proactive risk mitigation and corrective action plans.
  • Deliver timely progress reports, trend analysis charts, and periodic schedule updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of project scope changes, schedule trends, and variances to safeguard overall timeline integrity.
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions (IAPS) and scheduling alignment meetings across internal project teams and external EPCm partners.
  • Support resource loading, workload balancing, and long‑term project timeline integration from initial design through commissioning and start‑up.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant project scheduling experience (5–10 years) managing large‑scale capital projects (>20M CHF essential, >300M CHF preferred) in the pharma, biotech, or process industries.
  • High proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and core Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proven track record working within an EPCm environment; direct client‑side owner representation is a distinct advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English (written and spoken); basic command of German is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex project data sets and present decision‑oriented insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively in fast‑paced cross‑functional project teams.
