Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Unity VR Engineer based in Switzerland to drive client-side architecture for immersive training simulations. You will collaborate with backend teams to create scalable, reusable frameworks and AI-assisted tooling while delivering high-quality VR experiences across Android devices.

This fully remote role offers flexible hours, significant ownership, and opportunities to shape product direction in a fast-growing startup focused on education and training technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Unity and C# experience delivering complex apps
• Experience designing, architecting, and refactoring large Unity projects
• Recent Android VR development experience; Meta Quest familiarity preferred
• Proven ability to build generic reusable client-side infrastructure
• Comfort working within a client-server architecture with API contracts
• Strong debugging, performance, and scalable system design skills
• Experience with developer tooling and automation; interest in AI-assisted workflows
• Independent, proactive problem-solver comfortable in a startup environment

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain core Unity VR client architecture for multiple simulations and platforms
• Implement client-side systems that reflect server-authoritative simulation state
• Co-design client-server APIs and data contracts with backend engineers
• Develop reusable frameworks and shared components for the training platform
• Build immersive Android VR experiences with stable functionality across hardware
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure runtime reliability
• Create tools for content creators and other developers to build and test simulations
• Explore AI-assisted development workflows and establish validation pipelines
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions and collaborate with distributed teams
• Communicate decisions clearly and contribute to engineering practices and architecture
