Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) for a fully remote role based in Switzerland. You will architect and build high-throughput, low-latency backend services for a business-critical energy trading platform, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools and strong design skills.

You will mentor engineers, translate complex requirements into implementable tasks, and drive security, testing, and performance improvements across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development with architectural responsibility.
• Strong proficiency in Go; Rust experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to optimize high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Database schema design and query optimization expertise.
• Distributed systems knowledge and high-volume data processing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Secure coding practices and OWASP guidance knowledge.
• Cloud-native infrastructure experience (containers, Kubernetes, service meshes).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for a trading platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs for developers and AI agents.
• Review PRs from humans and AI agents for quality and architecture alignment.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams on critical features.
• Promote and implement test-driven development and automated testing.
• Mentor other engineers and share engineering best practices.
