Job summary

Jobgether invites a Senior PHP Engineer to join a remote-first cybersecurity engineering team based in Switzerland. You will develop and maintain PHP integrations connecting security solutions with hosting control panels, CMSs, and client platforms.

You will work on plugins, extensions, and custom interfaces for hosting providers and customer portals, using PHP across distributed systems. This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and ongoing learning within a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional PHP development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain PHP modules, extensions, and plugins for hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin).
• Build and maintain integrations for WordPress and other CMS, ensuring security and reliability.
• Design interfaces for hosting panels and customer portals using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Support customers and internal teams with custom PHP portals.
• Develop lightweight background apps in containerized environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PHP components with security products.
• Contribute to full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Apply web security best practices to protect apps against threats.
• Address scalability, availability, and performance challenges.
• Use Git, Docker, SQL, XML, reg-ex and CI/CD tools in delivery.
• Participate in technical discussions and share knowledge across teams.
• Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies to improve engineering.
