Job summary

Beyond Gravity in Switzerland seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead technical manufacturing expertise for aerospace components. You will collaborate with engineering, production, quality and project teams to ensure robust, efficient and cost-effective processes across the product lifecycle.

You will drive process development and optimization, lead qualification activities, apply Lean principles, promote DfM/DtC, and mentor colleagues while coordinating cross-functional technical projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science/Engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing processes and materials, preferably in a high-technology industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in material selection and manufacturing processes across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations and define corrective actions in production.
• Drive design for manufacturing and cost optimization.
• Lead qualification activities for processes, repairs, NDE and failure analysis.
• Develop process specifications, work instructions and technical reports.
• Support product development with manufacturing input.
• Lead cross-functional technical projects with defined deliverables, schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to audits and ensure follow-up of gaps.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing to improve flow and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Support technical proposals and risk assessments.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues.
