Job summary

Beyond Gravity Schweiz AG seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead advanced manufacturing processes for aerospace components, with focus on composites and cost-effective production. You will drive process development, qualification, lean improvements and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

You possess a Bachelor/Master in materials/mechanical with 7+ years’ experience and strong CAD/MES/ERP aptitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 7 years of professional experience.
• Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes and materials for high-technology environments.
• Experience in process development, optimization, material qualification and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design to Cost (DtC).
• Experience developing tooling, fixtures and automation solutions.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfort with CAD tools and MES/ERP systems; knowledge of digital manufacturing tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in material selection and process development across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement.
• Lead root-cause investigations and define corrective actions.
• Drive design for manufacturing and cost optimization.
• Lead material and process qualification activities and non-destructive testing methods.
• Create process specifications and manufacturing work instructions.
• Support product development with manufacturing input and feasibility assessments.
• Lead cross-functional projects with clear deliverables, schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to technical audits, risk assessments and compliance.
