Job summary

RUAG SA seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, open-source groupware and collaboration services. You will build Linux-based infrastructure in an on-prem private cloud and manage identity services (LDAP/OIDC) with automated provisioning using Terraform and Ansible.

You will also deploy CI/CD pipelines in Kubernetes, run supporting services, and work to improve reliability, security, and automation while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and open-source infrastructure.
• Experience with self-hosted email, groupware or collaboration platforms.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP and TLS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with LDAP/OIDC/SAML is an advantage.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Swiss citizenship required.

What you should bring with you

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and open-source infrastructure

• Good understanding of networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP and TLS
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of automation, CI/CD and scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash
• Familiarity with identity management and directory services such as LDAP, OIDC or SAML is an advantage
• Analytical mindset, structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills
• Swiss citizenship required
