Job summary

RUAG AG in Switzerland seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and operate secure, automated on-prem private cloud infrastructure. You will build Linux-based systems and Kubernetes environments, deploy security monitoring and SIEM capabilities, and support incident response with strong automation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and infrastructure engineering
• Experience in security monitoring, threat detection, SIEM or incident response
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash
• Familiarity with infrastructure security, vulnerability management and system hardening
• Analytical mindset, structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills
• Swiss citizenship required

Workload

• Every day, around 3,000 employees of RUAG and RUAG Real Estate make as significant contribution to the security of Switzerland. They ensure that the Swiss Armed Forces and other emergency and security organizations can comprehensibly carry out their tasks at all times
• Design, implement and operate secure and highly automated infrastructure in an on-premise private cloud
• Build and maintain Linux-based systems and Kubernetes environments
• Deploy and operate security monitoring and detection solutions, including SIEM platforms
• Support the investigation and handling of security incidents and continuously improve detection capabilities

What you should bring with you

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and infrastructure engineering

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
