Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Culinary team. Based at the palace in Luzern, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to supervise and run the assigned kitchen sections, while upholding our high standards of quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Completed culinary apprenticeship and 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Creativity and attention to detail, with willingness to bring your culinary signature
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and strong organizational skills
• Leadership experience supervising a station
• Very good German and English skills; other languages are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead your assigned kitchen station and ensure smooth daily operations while adhering to quality and hygiene standards
• Ensure flawless preparation, high quality, and attractive presentation of dishes
• Actively control and minimize food waste through efficient work practices
• Contribute creatively and support the development of new dishes and food concepts
• Request supplies in coordination with your supervisor and monitor daily goods receipt
• Oversee daily hygiene controls and HACCP-compliant cleanliness
