Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Based in the luxury kitchen, you will assist the Executive Sous Chef, supervise daily operations, ensure MO standards, and mentor culinary colleagues to maintain exceptional quality.

Fluency in German and English is essential, with 3-5 years in upscale hotels or gastronomy. The role involves weekend and holiday shifts, and opportunities for learning and development through MO programs.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in upscale hotel industry or gastronomy.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent communication in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations under Executive Sous Chef.
• Ensure adherence to MO standards for quality, service and hygiene.
• Train and develop culinary staff; monitor food quality and service execution.
• Maintain cost control, stock management and inventory.
