Job summary

Wyden is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and implement features for our core product and trading strategies. This is a remote role with potential in-person meetups and involves leveraging the latest cloud technologies in a high-growth fintech environment.

You will collaborate with product management and engineering teams to build low-latency services, ensure security and reliability, and contribute to distributed systems powering institutional clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience in financial services or crypto is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of future releases of Wyden, including low latency order management and related services.
• Collaborate closely with product management and customers.
• Distributed systems engineering and cloud-based service deployment.
• Follow industry trends and implement best practices.
• Ensure security, authentication and authorization mechanisms are understood and applied.
