Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Quality for a fully remote, globally distributed team (Swiss-based partner).

You will design, build, and operate AI-powered testing agents across the lifecycle, with a focus on non-deterministic AI capabilities and scalable test infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with product engineering to ensure testing tools stay relevant to real product needs, while promoting ownership of quality across teams and advancing evaluation methods for AI-driven

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience building test infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Experience with LLMs or agent frameworks, prompt design, non-deterministic behavior, and evaluation.

Aufgaben

• Build and operate AI agents across the testing lifecycle: design, generation, maintenance, execution, failure triage.
• Own the infrastructure to support agent-driven testing, including environments, data, guardrails, and cost controls.
• Establish reliable methods for evaluating agent outputs to trust automated results.
• Apply AI-driven evaluation to testing the platform's non-deterministic capabilities.
• Collaborate with product teams to keep testing tools aligned with real needs.
• Develop reusable testing patterns, tooling, and enablement for engineers to own quality.
• Drive adoption of quality engineering across teams without direct reporting lines.
• Contribute to system design and continuous improvement of testing infra.
