Jobgether SRL, listed on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Staff Backend Engineer for AI Tooling in Switzerland. This high-impact role focuses on building platforms and AI-powered tooling to accelerate engineering teams while maintaining quality.

You will own end-to-end initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with leadership to define the roadmap. Remote options exist in Romania, with local employment arrangements as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years operating at Senior or Staff level.
• Experience building and operating developer platforms and CI/CD systems.
• Experience delivering tooling that measurably improves developer velocity, productivity, quality, or reduces engineering complexity.
• Experience leading the adoption of AI-powered developer tools across an engineering organization.
• Experience in high-performing engineering environments, scale-ups or established tech organizations.
• Experience integrating third-party services, APIs, SaaS tools into internal systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to mentor other engineers.
• High autonomy with pragmatic trade-offs and stakeholder escalation when needed.

Aufgaben

• Own the architecture, development, deployment, and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling capabilities.
• Lead multi-quarter technical projects with milestones and measurable improvements.
• Build and operate systems covering developer productivity, CI/CD, observability, engineering metrics, code quality automation, testing infrastructure, and AI-assisted development.
• Lead the adoption of AI-powered developer tools across engineering teams.
• Define technical direction and scalable solutions, anticipates longer-term challenges.
• Partner with engineering leadership on roadmap and technical strategy, offering recommendations.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, guidance, and best practices.
• Own operational health using data to guide improvements, maintenance, iteration, and deprecation.
• Ensure reliable, secure integrations with third-party APIs, SaaS products, and external platforms.
