Job summary

Electra Aero is seeking a Senior Structural Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to develop and industrialize structural assembly processes for the EL9 aircraft, from early development through ramp-up.

You will apply DFMA principles, review designs for producibility, and lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient, scalable production and seamless transition from prototype to first production builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience applying DFMA principles during aircraft development.
• Experience reviewing drawings, 3D models, GD&T and changes from a manufacturing perspective.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DFMA principles across aircraft development for producibility.
• Review structural drawings and models for manufacturability and risk.
• Participate in design reviews, flag manufacturing constraints early.
• Provide oversight with suppliers and liaise with tooling teams.
• Define tooling concepts and plans with Tooling Engineering.
• Review supplier production readiness and assembly processes.
• Support prototype and first production builds.
• Coordinate resolution of manufacturing issues with stakeholders.
• Capture lessons learned to feed back into design and planning.
• Support ramp-up with constraints resolution and quality improvements.
