Overview
A growing semiconductor and electronics company is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support growth across Europe.
This is a hands-on sales role combining account management and new business development. You'll work with a diverse portfolio of semiconductor technologies including wireless connectivity, sensing, RFID, NFC, and low-power electronics, engaging directly with customers from concept through to production.
The organisation offers a flat structure, exposure to international customers, and the opportunity to work closely with engineering, business unit leaders, and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Grow sales revenue and secure new design wins.
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies.
- Identify and win new customers and business opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts and generate new projects.
- Manage relationships with distributors, representatives, and ecosystem partners.
- Support customers from initial design discussions through to mass production.
- Build relationships across engineering, purchasing, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead commercial negotiations and development agreements.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Legal.
- Travel as required to support customer activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within electronics, semiconductors, embedded systems, or related industries.
- Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a similar discipline.
- Experience with technologies such as ASICs, mixed-signal ICs, BLE, RFID, NFC, sensors, wireless connectivity, or IoT.
- Proven ability to win new business and grow existing customer relationships.
- Comfortable engaging with engineering teams as well as senior business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience selling complex technical solutions at the design-in or concept stage.
- Fluent English required.
- French and/or German would be advantageous.
