Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Zurich Altstetten is seeking a Factory Quality Assurance Specialist who drives root cause investigations and sustainable corrective actions to reduce scrap and quality costs.

In this role you will partner with Production, Process Engineering, Design Engineering and Quality teams to improve product and process reliability, support complex quality issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the factory.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a technical field (Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial) or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, or Quality Management.
• Strong analytical skills and passion for root cause analysis and sustainable resolution of quality issues.
• Knowledge of quality methods and tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
• Proactive mindset, sense of ownership, and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Analyze quality deviations, scrap, and rework to identify true root causes.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, 8D).
• Develop and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support production in resolving complex quality and process-related issues.
• Conduct root cause analyses for internal and external quality notifications.
• Analyze quality metrics and identify trends and risks.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and error prevention.
