Sonar is seeking an innovative Research Engineer to join our Data & Agentic team and pioneer the next generation of our code analysis and verification engines. You will be at the forefront of applying cutting‑edge AI, advanced agentic workflow and static analysis techniques to complex source code.

Your work will shape our core products, ensuring AI-generated and developer-written code meets enterprise quality and security standards. Relentless curiosity and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in CS/ML or related field.
• 2+ years industry experience with Python and modern languages.
• Experience with agentic frameworks, automation tools and LLM architectures.
• Experience leading research projects from ideation to prototype.
• Hands-on integration of third-party tools and analysis frameworks.
• Proven data handling: datasets, metrics and benchmarks.
• Ability to switch contexts quickly across topics.
• Excellent English communication; translate research into actionable artifacts.

Aufgaben

• Create & Innovate: brainstorm and steer exploratory research toward impactful, feasible paths.
• Develop Agentic Workflows: design prototypes and automations to write clean code and remediate issues.
• Develop Pragmatic Prototypes: build hands-on prototypes and identify bottlenecks early.
• Evaluate & Benchmark: design datasets, metrics, and benchmarks leveraging IP and open tools.
• Engineer Data Pipelines: build/maintain large code-centric datasets for model training/evaluation.
• Translate Prototypes to Products: collaborate with engineering/product to merge prototypes into products.
• Communicate and Evangelize: document complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
