Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior ML Engineer for email security, fully remote in Switzerland. You will own end-to-end ML development, train transformers for spam and phishing detection, and deploy high-performance inference services on CPU-based hosting environments.

You will collaborate with partner engineers, maintain data tooling, and ensure scalable, reliable releases across a production security stack. Strong English writing and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience delivering detection or classification systems.
• End-to-End ML ownership including corpus construction and release decisions.
• Hands-on transformer training with PyTorch, tokenizers, fine-tuning, ONNX export, and CPU inference metrics.
• Strong Linux, shell scripting, and Python skills on shared servers and GPUs.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam-detection models with corpora and thresholds.
• Develop production components of a new email-filtering engine (Go) incl. inference service and parsing.
• Investigate incidents and improve models via data, rules, or retraining.
• Balance detection rates with false positives to avoid blocking legitimate mail.
• Maintain corpus management tools and training infrastructure for reliable experiments.
• Review classifier and model changes to ensure quality and controlled releases.
• Explain model scoring and outcomes to partner engineers; contribute to technical docs.
