Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Data Engineer–Data Engineer based in Switzerland for a fully remote role. You will own end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, transform raw data into structured datasets, and work with cloud data platforms and modern warehousing technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering with production data solutions.
• Strong SQL to query and optimize complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data pipelines.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT design, operation, and optimization.
• Cloud data platforms experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with data warehousing and modeling principles.
• Ability to diagnose data issues and fix production pipelines.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams in a distributed setup.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across sources.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and transformation logic.
• Establish data validation and quality checks for reliable datasets.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data issues.
• Implement observability, alerting, and production data system monitoring.
• Build and maintain cloud data infrastructure with scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, data science, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to coding standards, testing, and deployment practices.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation for pipelines and schemas.
• Provide on-call support to ensure data system reliability.
